Deep Meaning · English
This verse marks the zenith of the seeker's realization within the Kṣetra-Kṣetrajña Yoga. Krishna invites Arjuna to transcend the fragmented perception of a world defined by divisions, differences, and discrete identities. To see the 'bhūta-pṛithag-bhāvam' (the diverse variety of beings) as 'eka-stham' (situated in the One) is to undergo a radical shift in consciousness where the screen is finally recognized behind the moving projections of the movie. This is not a mere intellectual exercise in inclusivity, but a profound ontological shift; the seeker stops identifying with the form and begins to recognize the immutable substrate that sustains all existence. By perceiving that the entirety of the vast, expanding universe originates from, resides within, and dissolves back into the singular Absolute (Brahman), the individual ego loses its anchor of separation. When the seer recognizes that the infinite complexity of life is but a expansion of the One, they cease to be a separate observer and attain the state of Brahman. The 'attainment' mentioned is not a movement toward an external destination, but the unveiling of the truth that was always present: the Knower and the Field are, in essence, non-dual. This realization dissolves the bondage of duality, leading the soul into the serenity of eternal unity, where the sense of 'I' as an individual doer is replaced by the 'I' as the eternal, undivided Consciousness.
The ultimate spiritual liberation is the realization that the diverse, unfolding multiplicity of the universe is merely the expansion of the One indivisible Brahman.
