Deep Meaning · English
In this verse, Arjuna captures the dual response of the universe to the unveiling of the Divine Reality. By addressing Krishna as Hrishikesha—the Lord of the senses—Arjuna acknowledges that it is not merely his eyes seeing a form, but the divine power within his own consciousness governing his perception of this cosmic spectacle. The universe's reaction—rejoicing in love (prahṛiṣhyati) while the demonic impulses of the ego flee in terror—symbolizes the fundamental spiritual truth that the Presence of the Divine is both a sanctuary for the sattvic soul and a catalyst for the dissolution of the lower, darker aspects of the psyche. This is the moment where the duality between the observer and the observed begins to collapse, as the sheer majesty of the Truth demands a spontaneous surrender from all who perceive it. The 'hosts of perfected saints' bowing down represents the final realization that all paths of knowledge, devotion, and action ultimately terminate in the humble recognition of the Supreme. It is a profound acknowledgment that the unfolding of the Divine order is not merely a historical event, but a constant, internal restructuring of the seeker's reality.
The revelation of the Divine is an objective reality that simultaneously elevates the pure-hearted and disarms the egoistic, demanding a total surrender of the individual self to the cosmic Whole.
