Deep Meaning · English

In this verse, Sri Krishna shifts Arjuna’s vision from looking at the world as a collection of fragmented objects to seeing it as a singular manifestation of the Divine. By teaching Arjuna to perceive beauty (shrī), power (ūrjitam), and excellence (vibhūti) not as independent qualities but as reflections of the Supreme, Krishna is dismantling the seeker's ignorance that separates the world from its Source. This is an invitation to practice a perpetual, meditative awareness where every impressive feature in the universe—whether a majestic mountain, an inspiring artist, or a noble soul—serves as a window through which one glimpses the brilliance of God. It is the ultimate antidote to both mundane obsession and cynical detachment. When we recognize that every spark of excellence is but a fraction of His infinite splendor, we transition from being mere observers of phenomena to being constant worshippers of the Reality underlying them. Krishna is teaching Arjuna to anchor his mind in the Source, ensuring that his attention is never stolen by the distractions of the material world but is instead continually redirected toward the Divine majesty residing within them. This process transforms ordinary experience into a sacred liturgy of constant remembrance (smaranam).

True spiritual vision is the ability to recognize every manifestation of excellence, power, and beauty in the world as a direct spark of the Divine consciousness.
